Last week, Phandeeyar had a Meetup “OpenStreetMap: Mapping Myanmar”.
The atmosphere was electric and the air was thick with interest and love for the OpenStreetMap. Dale Kunce, Global Lead ICT & Analytics and Board President of Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team talked about the power of OpenStreetMap (OSM), the global OSM community and Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team. He also touched upon ways to improve Myanmar’s map using open source tools.
“Go Map!” was the call to action at the end of his presentation. As expected, there was a great in-depth technical Q&A from the map enthusiasts representing different communities. It was well attended with over 60 map enthusiasts present. We look forward to the next Mapping Meetup in June!
